About Me
Hey, I'm Shane — a creator, builder, and storyteller at heart.
I'm a bit of a mash-up: part frontend engineer, part fantasy writer, part manga artist (in training), and part guy who can lose a whole afternoon in the garage building something out of wood. I grew up in Japan in the 1980s, surrounded by anime, Studio Ghibli films, and worlds that made me want to grab a sword and go on an adventure. That mix of tech and creativity stuck with me — these days, I split my time between coding, sketching, reading epic fantasy series like Drizzt, Dresden Files, and Iron Druid, and chasing new skills like welding or CNC machining.
Life hasn't been without its hard chapters. My wife, Brandi, and I lost our son, Kenji, and that loss reshaped everything. It's made me more intentional — I want to create things that matter, whether that's a piece of art, a polished website, or a moment worth remembering.
I'm passionate about anything where creativity meets problem-solving. I love the feel of a pencil on paper as much as the click of a perfectly executed line of code. I believe in learning new things, building with your hands, and telling stories — whether in art, words, or the digital space.
If you're into creativity, good stories, motorcycles, or just figuring life out one project at a time, welcome — you'll feel right at home here.
